To create systemic change, we advocate for a new policy framework that recognizes and incentivizes sustainable companies in Switzerland. Therefore we launched a Manifesto for the Recognition of Sustainable Enterprises. We call on all Swiss decision-makers to support our initiative and sign the manifesto.
Fondation EPFL Innovation Park
The EPFL Innovation Park is an innovation and entrepreneurship hub, hosting close to 200 startups and international corporations. The EPFL Innovation Park is a centre of interaction between the academic and the business worlds, polarising exceptional projects and enabling them to develop and transform society.

By 2027, more than 75 % of startups in the EPFL Innovation Park integrate a sustainability approach into their business model and contribute to the Agenda 2030*.
* Out of an average of 100 innovative startups (excluding Ecotope). Sustainability approach according to the international reference framework of ISO26000 and through a self-assessment questionnaire tailored to sustainability, monitored annually by an internal committee. In addition to the initiatives undertaken by the startups, we also provide tools and support programmes dedicated to sustainability.

By 2025, 50 % of our main suppliers meet our responsible purchasing criteria and all sign our Supplier Relationship Charter, compared with 2022*.
* Main suppliers by volume of purchases, representing 80 % of our total purchases. Annual audit in the form of a sustainability self-assessment questionnaire.

Goal 3
By 2025, we recycle 65 % of the waste generated on the EPFL Innovation Park site, compared with 30 % in 2022.
Internal operations
Goal 4
By 2023, 100 % of new buildings in the EPFL Innovation Park are certified as sustainable construction equivalent to Minergie P Eco or higher and 50 % of the remaining existing buildings are certified as sustainable construction equivalent to Minergie by 2030*.
* Compared to 10 out of 14 Minergie-labeled buildings in 2022.
Internal operations
The EPFL Innovation Park Foundation operates in Switzerland. The pledges taken within the STI framework relate to the sustainability policy applying to all the EPFL Innovation Park Foundation operations carried out in Switzerland. The company is therefore accountable for their implementation within the limits of its scope of activity.
